Seashore Life on Rocky Coasts by Judith Connor, Monterey Bay Aquarium. 64 pp. A review of intertidal dynamics as found along the Pacific.

Exploring the Seashore by Gloria Snively, Gordon Soules Book Publishers Ltd. 240 pp. A wonderful guide to shorebirds and intertidal animals, arranged by zones.

Beachcomber's Guide to Marine Life of the Pacific Northwest by Thomas M. Niesen, Gulf Publishing Co. 160 pp. A comprehensive study of Pacific shores, including rocky coasts, beaches and estuaries.

The Marine Biology Coloring Book by Thomas M. Niesen, Harper Perennial. 202 pp. Don't let the title mislead you. This is an excellent lesson on marine life, beautifully illustrated, for all age levels.
